Inventory or list of enslaved people (slaves) owned by Ephraim Ponder and his wife Ellen Ponder, derived from an indenture dated April 7, 1858 from Thomasville History Center's 1977.19 Hargrave Collection donation. Transcription is by John A. Dietrichs during 2018 for an article about William Ponder's house in Atlanta. Names of enslaved people include Americus, Jack Sharpe, Festus Flipper, Sr., George Scott, Mary Eliza, Prince Ponder, and many others, 47 in total. |
