"The Foxfire Site" by Steven Richards, 1975. A twenty-page report by Florida State University archeologist Steven Richards detailing the "Foxfire" Native American site in Thomas County. The location was found on the property of Jimmy Vaughn off of Pig Sauls Road, south of Boston near the Florida border. Much of the site was destroyed before the excavation by the building and/or moving of a pond and building of a dam by Vaughn. While Vaughn was doing the work, he contacted the Thomasville - Thomas County Bicentennial-Sesquicentennial Commission, who contracted Steven Richards of FSU to do the archeological work and report. |
