Letter from W.B. Dukes to James W. Groover, May 9, 1890. Content of letter is mostly illegible, but reads something like: "Dear Sir, Enclosed find note and meeting, please send it over as items may be other meetings and same staff. Respect, W.B. Dukes." James W. Groover with the Clerk of the Court of Thomas County in 1890. Letter sent on letterhead of "W.B. Dukes, Dealer in Hardware, Farm Implaments, Buggies & Wagons, Organs, Drugs, Medicines, Etc." Notes "shipping point" as Thomasville and post office and place of business as Chastain, Georgia, an unicorporated community in the far north of Thomas County. |
