    Commitment to trial for Henry Sims, "Person of Color" for being accused of "assault with intent to kill." The commitment is signed by Thomasville Mayor Peter Alexander Selkirk McGlashan on August 30, 1866. The court date is set for December 17, 1866 (the "third Monday in December) at Thomas County Superior Court, at the Thomas County Courthouse. Sims was ordered to stay in jail until trial.
