Bible given W.P. Brown in 1864 by the Maryland State Bible Society while in Maryland on way to prison at Fort Delaware during the Civil War. Published 1861 by the New York State Bible Society. He was wounded near Strasburg at Cedar Run and captured. He joined Confederate Army March 4th, 1862 and served until end of war in 1865. Member of Company E 50th Georgia Regiment. Went into the army as a private and ended up captain.
